Rose Gallo Hobbs
Rose Gallo Hobbs, 89, formerly of Enfield, CT passed away peacefully in her sleep at Buckingham South senior residence community on May 23, 2013. She had been under the care of Hospice Savannah. Rose was born in Johnetta, PA, the daughter of the late Anna Gentile and Frank La Grosse and her stepfather, Dante Gallo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stokes Hobbs, and her brother James Gallo.
Surviving are two daughters, Lynda Hobbs of Savannah, GA and Judi Sieklucki of West Palm Beach, FL; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren, one brother, Mario Gallo of Delray Beach, and two sisters, Marie Levins of Enfield, CT and Rene Pugliese of New Kensington, PA.
Rose worked at Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance Company in Hartford, CT and owned an antique shop in Warehouse Point, CT. During her retirement years, she enjoyed many hours painting with her friends, the "Busy Brushes".
The family will gather for a memorial reception to be held at a later date.
